After a successful completion of AMS Cargo Center at Schiphol Logistics Park last August, the German real estate manager Deka Immobilien has also exchanged contracts with Built to Build and Proptimize to secure the purchase of the second phase ‘AMS Cargo Center II’ at Schiphol Logistics Park. The property will be added to the portfolio of the real estate fund WestInvest TargetSelect Logistics.
AMS Cargo Center II will be realized on a plot of 63,000 sqm located on the Changiweg at Schiphol Logistics Park, directly adjacent to AMS Cargo Center. The development consists a Breeam ‘Very Good’ logistics property with a total surface of c. 32,000 sqm, divided in seven connected warehouses including 196 parking spaces and 117 spaces for trucks.
The first tenant for AMS Cargo Center II is Rutges Cargo Europe and its subsidiary J. Middelkoop Logistics that signed a long-term lease for in total c. 6,000 sqm. The remaining units – of c. 26,000 sqm in total – are available for rent. The delivery of the building will take place in December 2019.
AMS Cargo Center II is a project (joint venture) of Built to Build and Proptimize and designed by DENC Architects. Van der Heijden Bouw & Ontwikkeling is responsible for the construction works. De Mik Bedrijfshuisvesting (commercial), LXA (legal) advised the joint venture. Baker & McKenzie (legal) and Cushman & Wakefield (technical) acted on behalf of Deka.
