Montea and Durfort Vastgoed have started work on the construction of a logistics centre in the West-Noordzijde area of Schiphol Logistics Park, on a lot measuring nearly 1.5 hectares. Construction company Aan de Stegge expects to complete this commercial property for investor Montea in April 2018.
The logistics centre will comprise approximately 4,500m² of storage space and two office units totalling 900m². The first tenancy agreement has been signed by Thomsen Select, a company specialising in air freight groupage and transport. The company will be relocating from its current premises in De Hoek/Hoofddorp. Thomsen Select’s new premises can accommodate 25 staff members and 25 lorries. Thomson Select is to rent half the building for a fixed period of 10 years. The other half of the building, as well as a separate, strategically located lorry park of approximately 3,000m² (32,300ft²), will be offered to let.
Industrial Real Estate Partners advised Durfort in realising the development.
