The hotel marks the start of a new SADC area development: the Schiphol Trade Park station area.

Gerard van Liempt, director of Necron: “The IntercityHotel is the first phase of a development with a total gross floor area of around 5,000m2, which Necron is currently developing in close cooperation with SADC. We see major opportunities for the Hoofddorp station area to transition into a dynamic urban residential and working area. Our development takes advantage of this opportunity, along with developments such as Hyde Park.”

Reinoud Fleurke, SADC area development manager: “Our station development at Hoofddorp is part of EnterNL, a high-quality international environment between Hoofddorp and the Zuidas business district. The location already has a lot of potential, and with the possible extension of the North/South metro line, Hoofddorp will have a direct connection to Amsterdam. Necron’s development is in line with our ambition to create a high-quality international environment where it is a pleasure to work and stay.”

The IntercityHotel is being built by construction company Ten Brinke Bouw under the supervision of RAU Architects from Amsterdam. Necron will also shortly start construction work on the adjacent ParkHouse. As a member of Madaster, Necron prioritises sustainability in all its developments at Schiphol Trade Park.
