After just four months of construction, Bouwbedrijf Bloed has completed work on the new Plieger Express location at De President business park in Hoofddorp. Situated on a 1,330 m2 plot, Plieger B.V. commissioned Van der Meijden Vastgoed to realise a modern distribution warehouse that will be used by professional installers. De President is a development by the municipality of Haarlemmermeer and SADC.
Plieger will use its new location in Hoofddorp to strengthen its position in the province of Noord-Holland. The new warehouse has a heat pump, an underfloor heating system and LED lighting, making it one of Plieger’s most sustainable buildings to date.
Plieger is a specialist in bathrooms, heating, installation systems, air & ventilation, and electrical installations. They supply a range of more than 150,000 products to installers, plumbing companies, retailers, DIY shops and other parties. Employing some 750 people in the Netherlands, it has a central warehouse, distribution centre and head office in Zaltbommel, plus another 56 branches around the country.
Koert Huisman, Managing Director of Plieger B.V.: “Our aim is always to be as close to the professional installer as possible, and with 56 Express locations around the country, that’s certainly not an empty promise. We’re always looking for more prime locations, such as here at De President.”
