SEGRO Netherlands recently let unit B of Segro Logistics Centre Schiphol at Schiphol Trade Park to RIF Europe. RIF is renting 9,723 m2 of floorspace. Its head office will remain at the AMS Cargo Center at Schiphol Logistics Park in Rozenburg.
RIF Europe is part of the British-based RIF Group, which specialises in international logistics and distribution. In just over a year, RIF Europe has expanded its logistics facilities in the Netherlands from zero to 22,500 m2 thanks to increasing demand from existing customers and the acquisition of new ones.
Segro Logistics Center Schiphol is a 17,000 m2 warehouse at Schiphol Trade Park. Completed a year ago, part of the building was immediately occupied by GEFCO Forwarding Netherlands. With the lease of Unit B to RIF Europe, the complex is now fully leased on a long-term basis. The warehouse has a BREEAM Excellent certificate, which means that efforts have been made in many areas to make the building sustainable and future-proof. The use of energy and materials is monitored, for example, so where necessary, adjustments can be made to increase efficiency. Heat and cold storage is used, energy consumption is low, and the sustainable lighting plan makes use of daylight and LED light wherever possible.
