Sky Group: “SADC is very good at analysing what its clients’ needs are”

  18 July 2017  |    Interview

To mark the occasion of SADC’s 30th anniversary, the summer 2017 edition of the business magazine Haarlemmermeer INTO Business included a special feature on SADC. Six businesspeople were interviewed for the article; read more about the interview with Baris Kurt of SKY International Freight Management (De President) below.

SKY International Freight Management has been in operation as a freight forwarder for air, land and sea freight since 2003. Based at Business Park De President, the company’s services also include warehousing, customs clearance, value added logistics and distribution.

In 2009, SKY International Freight Management was already established at Business Park De President: the company had leased a building at Jacobus Spijkerdreef for five years. “It was a perfect location for us,” remembers Baris Kurt, Marketing & Sales Director at SKY International Freight Management. “But we soon outgrew the premises, and so we moved to Nieuw-Vennep.”

But the company entered into negotiations about the purchase of a plot of land at Business Park De President to build its own premises. “We’ve been back at De President since 2016, now in a building of our own. We are very pleased with that. I feel at home here, it is close to Schiphol Airport and to my own home. I never get stuck in traffic, which really is a plus.”

Kurt also appreciates that the centrally located Business Park De President is not too cramped. “This is a spacious, clean and safe location, and very close to Schiphol. It’s a quiet and beautiful business park.”

Kurt has only good things to say about working with SADC. “SADC has helped us tremendously and has always given excellent advice. SADC is very good at analysing what its clients’ needs are; clear communication is another of its strong points. I say keep it up!”
