Somerset Real Estate has begun developing a datacentre for Interxion in Schiphol Logistics Park. Somerset is developing the project on AMS ZONE 004, a 2.73-hectare parcel.

The new datacentre for Interxion will be state-of-the-art and meets the strict PUE norm set for datacentres in this region. The new premises under construction will cover around 12,000 m2, intended for offices, technical areas and approximately 8,000 m2 of datacentre floor space. This will be Interxion’s eighth datacentre in the Amsterdam region. Interxion was originally a Dutch company which has now grown to become a leading European player with 40 datacentres in 11 countries. This will be the first datacentre Interxion is building in a new location in this region. Up to now, they have consistently renovated existing logistics premises. Somerset has already begun the work, and the building is expected to be taken into commission in mid-July 2016.
