VDG Real Estate and Schiphol Trade Park signed a purchase agreement in July 2020 for the entrance plot at Schiphol Trade Park. VDG is to develop a warehouse of more than 23,000 m2 on the 2.8 ha plot alongside the A4 motorway. At the entrance to the park and clearly visible from the A4, the building will make an eye-catching landmark for Schiphol Trade Park. Construction is due to begin after the summer and should be completed in mid-2021. More than 13,000 m2 has already been leased, and VDG Real Estate is currently looking for a tenant for the remaining 10,000 m2.

SADC’s ambition is to develop Schiphol Trade Park into Europe’s most sustainable and innovative business park, situated just five minutes from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and with direct access to the A4 motorway.

Rob de Wit, Project Manager & Area Coordinator at Schiphol Trade Park: “This development by VDG Real Estate will occupy a prominent position right at the entrance of Schiphol Trade Park, which will make it a real eye-catcher. The warehouse being developed will comply with the ‘new normal’ standards at Schiphol Trade Park, thanks in part to the shared vision and collaboration between the developer, contractor and architect.”

Erik van Dijk, owner of VDG Real Estate: “Schiphol Trade Park’s plans align completely with our strategy, in which everything focuses on flexibility, circular principles, sustainability and efficiency. We firmly believe in the location and the ambition of SADC, so we can’t wait to get started on realising this special development. We have a wonderful plan in place which we will soon share with the market.”

1530 Real Estate is advising VDG Real Estate on finding a tenant.
