VolkerWessels Logistics Development and Delta Development have jointly purchased approximately 58,000 m² of land at Schiphol Trade Park for the development of Hello World. The project is the follow-up to their successful development ABC Square on the same site, which is now fully leased. Hello World will be a comprehensive commercial premises solution for logistics, production, wholesale and last-mile activities, with approximately 45,000 m² of floorspace divided over eight connectable units, constructed in two phases.

VolkerWessels’ company Systabo started work on construction in July. Phase 1, consisting of four units, will be completed in mid-2022. The real estate agencies Van Gool Elburg and Cushman & Wakefield will be responsible for leasing the building.

Sustainable and multifunctional

The building is designed to be sustainable and nature-inclusive, incorporating planting and green facades based on an ecological plan, and according to the cradle-to-cradle® philosophy, with reusable components and materials. The project will be certified BREEAM Excellent and the roof will be fitted with solar panels for renewable power generation. The eight units will offer high-quality commercial space for production, storage, maintenance and logistics activities. There will be a connection to the office, showroom or reception and service area at the front. Each unit will have loading docks and an overhead door at ground level. The car park at the rear will also have a roof fitted with solar panels, generating sustainable energy not only for the building and its users themselves, but also for use in the area.
